Andrew Walker Ceramics is a coworking pottery studio in Sheffield, it’s a friendly and peaceful space to help develop your skills and explore clay independently. Set up in 2019 with the aim to build a community of makers as well as a space to teach newcomers.
The Studio
Open Studio monthly subscription allows you to book space in the pottery studio, designed for anyone who has already gained some core pottery skills in either hand- building or throwing and now feels it’s time to develop themselves further.
With over 40 members you’ll be able to create, learn and collaborate with other pottery makers. A basic knowledge of glazing techniques is also needed.

Monthly Subscriptions-
4 hours- £30 6 hours- £40
8 hours- £50 10 hours- £60
12 hours- £70 16 hours- £90
18 hours- £100 20 hours- £110
*Please enquire about prices and availability for hours higher than 20.
Membership Includes-House clay and tools, plus a selection of stoneware glazes, coloured slips and oxides.
Additional Costs-Firing is charged by weight: £2 per 500g for Bisque and £2 per 500g for Glaze.
Each studio member is responsible for managing their own time and being respectful in the space. For full Terms and Conditions.

Various days and time slots are available.
There are limited evening places for wheel throwers- minimum hours is 8 hours per month.
Studio Equipment and Facilities
The studio provides everything you need to establish the pottery basics, and to help develop your knowledge and skills further.
Our facilities include:
Workbenches: Sturdy high-level benches for all your hand building needs.
Pottery Wheels: Access to 3 wheels - easy-to-use silent motion units with a choice of speed and direction – Rohde and Frema.
Selection of glazes: Our range of over 25 brush-on glazes designed to be fired at stoneware cone 6.
Kilns: Two top loading electric kilns- Nabertherm and Rohde.
Personal Storage Space: Each member has their own storage shelf in the studio.
