Firing Hanging Items (maximum individual item weight -40g)
Glaze Firing Multiple Items charged by piece
1g - 20g: 50p per item
20g - 40g: £1 per item
Items need to have the appropriately sized hanging hole to hold their weight.
Any items heavier than 40g can’t be hung and therefore not glazed on both sides.
Extra Charges
Glaze Drips onto Kiln Shelf- charged at £10
Glaze Drips onto other Work- charged at £25
Multiple Drips- £50 per Shelf
You will be notified of any extra charges via email or text- payment is due on collection of your work.
If you are unsure of your calculations please get in touch. Miscalculations will be notified via text or email for extra payment before firing.
Glaze items need be brought on individual clay bats to help safeguard your wares and kiln shelves in case glazes run.
Any glazes currently not used in the studio MUST be tested in the kiln first.
Please make sure all items have been appropriately cleaned and the bottoms are free from any traces of glaze.
No combustibles such as paper, fabric or metal are allowed to be fired in the kiln.
Drop Off and Collection Days are Thur 6-8pm & Sat 10-1pm
Once your items are in the kiln you’ll be notified via text or email when they’ll be ready for collection.
