This December, Andrew Walker Ceramics is opening the studio doors for a special Makers Market in Sheffield, bringing together a collection of handmade ceramics created by local pottery studio makers and ceramic artists.
Taking place on Saturday 5th and Saturday 12th December, from 10am–4pm, the Makers Market is an opportunity to discover original, independently made ceramics and find something a little different for Christmas.
Handmade in Sheffield
The Makers Market celebrates the individuality of objects made by hand, a collection of ceramics created by Open Studio Members as well as a selection of makers working in and around Sheffield—from functional pottery and one-off vessels to decorative pieces and sculptural ceramics. Rather than mass-produced objects, each piece carries the marks of its making with variations in form, glaze, surface are part of what makes handmade pottery unique.
It also means that many of the pieces available at the market will be completely one of a kind.
